Joining Working Writers

Membership in Working Writers of Wisconsin is open to all full-time professional freelance writers in southeastern Wisconsin. Members enjoy the privilege of using Working Writers as a professional credential, in addition to listing on our web site, participation in our business building campaigns, free participation in our monthly meetings and insider information from our members email list.

Membership is granted after completing an application (below) and having a portfolio of your work reviewed by the volunteer auditors on our membership committee. Upon acceptance you will be assessed annual dues (currently $60/year). You will also be asked to select which of our service categories in which you'd like to be listed. You may choose up to ten categories as part of the standard membership package. If you feel you'd like to be included in more than ten categories, you'll be assessed a fee of $10.00 for each additional category you select.
